Here are few basic steps.
- Installation: To install the plugin, go to your WordPress dashboard, click on “Plugins” in the left-hand menu, then click “Add New”. Search for “SEO Friendly Tag Cloud Widget”, then click “Install Now” and “Activate”.
- Accessing Settings: Once the plugin is activated, you can access its settings by going to the “Tools” menu in your WordPress dashboard and selecting “SEO Friendly Tag Cloud”.
- Adjusting Settings: On the settings page, you’ll see several options:
- Number of Items: This setting allows you to control the number of tags displayed in the widget. Simply enter the desired number.
- Item’s CSS: Here you can customize the appearance of the tags using CSS. For example, you can adjust the margin around the tags.
- Open Item’s Link in: This dropdown lets you choose whether clicking a tag opens the linked page in the same tab/window or a new tab/window.
- Item’s Link on Hover Text: This is the text that appears when a user hovers over a tag.
- Text for Aria-Label: This is the text for the aria-labelattribute of the tag links, which is used for accessibility.
- Excluded Items: If there are specific tags you don’t want to appear in the tag cloud, you can list them here, separated by commas.
- Disable Transients from Caching: This option allows you to control the use of caching for performance. You can choose ‘Yes’ to disable caching or ‘No’ to enable caching.
- Enable SEO Friendly Tag Cloud Widget: This option allows you to control if the widget is displayed on the website. You can choose ‘Yes’ to display the widget or ‘No’ to hide it.
- Saving Changes: After adjusting the settings to your liking, click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page.
- Adding the Widget to Your Site: To add the SEO Friendly Tag Cloud Widget to your site, go to “Appearance” > “Widgets” in your WordPress dashboard. Find the “SEO Friendly Tag Cloud” widget and drag it to the desired location.
